Prayer Links
Iona Community
Many of the prayers used during the services at St Mary’s come from the Iona Community. Iona is where Christianity was first introduced into Scotland when St Columba landed there. The Iona Community is a dispersed Christian ecumenical community working for peace and social justice, rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship. More Info
Taizé
Taizé is a religious community in mid-France established by Brother Roger in the 1940s. Every week hundreds of young people from around the world visit Taizé. Taizé prayer is meditative. It is often accompanied by music. The prayer normally consists of a short phrase being repeated interspersed by silence. – More info
