The Registrar

By law both parties to a proposed civil or religious marriage are required to submit notice forms to the registrar of the district in which the marriage is to take place informing them of their intention to marry (usually Form M10). More details can be found at the registrar's website or the registrar can provide you with the leaflet RM1 Marriage in Scotland which also has more information.
